Vestera Pumpen

Customer case

Brauerei Lindental

Pump retrofit in the CIP circuit and on the filling line during a two-week shutdown

Context

Starting point

The existing mechanically sealed pumps needed seal changes after caustic service. The brewery wanted to remove that maintenance item.

The filling line pump had to keep a steady product flow to the filler at changing bottle formats.

The retrofit had to fit the existing base frames and pipework. The shutdown was fixed at two weeks.

Scope

What was installed

CIP supply and return

Four VX 200 pumps in 1.4408 for CIP supply and return. ISO 2858, same footprint as the old pumps.

Filling line

One VX 200 with VC-6 controller on the filling line. Speed set from the filler via PROFINET.

Control valves

VK control valves with pneumatic actuators on the CIP supply and return lines.

Project steps

1

Survey

Duty points and pipework measured on site.

2

Selection

Order-specific datasheets for each duty point.

3

Installation

Existing base frames reused, new valves fitted.

4

Commissioning

Dry-run detection tested with an emptied tank.

What the brewery's engineers said

“The pumps sit on the old frames, so the pipework was unchanged. The seal-change job is gone from our maintenance plan.”
