CIP cleaning circuits
Circulating caustic, acid and rinse water between production batches. The pump must handle caustic soda, nitric acid and hot water in sequence, and run against changing back-pressure. It must also tolerate short dry-run phases when tanks empty.
What the circuit demands of the pump
Temperatures cycle from ambient to 85 °C. The pump sees thermal cycling on every run.
The return pump often runs on an emptying tank. Dry-run protection is needed.
How Vestera equips the circuit
VX 200 magnetic-drive pump
Stainless steel 1.4408 with a ceramic containment shell. No shaft seal to wear in caustic service.
VC-6 controller
Dry-run detection stops the pump when the tank runs empty, and restarts it on level.
VK control valves
Pneumatic actuators switch the supply and return lines.

Material selection +
1.4408 handles caustic soda and nitric acid up to the concentrations typical in CIP. PP is not used here.
Dry-run behaviour +
On loss of level, the VC-6 stops the pump. It restarts the pump when level returns.
